Name Card Flash Bounce GET

learnt a neat trick from this site a while back: http://www.diyphotography.net/the-party-bouncer-is-back-in-business

if you're like me and hate the flash bang effect on-board camera flashes add to your pictures (but don't have the Vitamin M to get a proper standalone flash unit), try using a name card to diffuse the harshness of the light. of course, this is a poor man's solution, but hey... better than nothing.

WITHOUT the name card bouncer, you get a bright, sharp picture but with very noticeable flash-banged out Tifa & Co. Check out the shadows that were created. NOT happy:

FIRE IN THE HOLE!! *bang* (exposure: 1/100 sec at f5.6; ISO 800; focal length 55mm)

WITH the name card bouncer, you get a more evenly flashed picture with Tifa & Co. looking less shocked. QUITE happy:
(exposure: 1/100 sec at f5.6; ISO 800; focal length 55mm)
