May'n Big Waaaaave in Budokan Bluray Review
just got my copy of May'n's Big Waaaaaave in Budokan concert that was held on 24 Jan 2010.
The Good
- almost a must-have if you're a fan of her Macross Frontier songs
- the fun!
- it's presented in 1080p video! the Macross F concert Bluray is only 1080i, max.
- the extra making-of documentary
- If you were at this concert, or any of her Big Waaaaave Asia concert stops in Malaysia, Hong Kong or Taiwan, you'll be able to somewhat relive some moments. I especially loved the dancing mid-way through the concert, just before XYZ.
The Bad
- the bluray cover design could have been better
- the band could have been better.
- i would have liked the acoustic portion of the concert to last longer.
- they should have brought out the strings section during Diamond Crevasse.
- i wish that they had included "Infinity" in the set list :(
With that said, I'm still happy to support Buchou by getting this bluray :)

I was at the Budokan and have to say that it was probably the best May'n concert ever. Her recent Budokan gig wasn't as good. As such, this is probably THE definitive May'n bluray :-)

Aww.. you went to her recent gig? that must have been awesome.
I've seen been to her concerts at Singapore's Anime Festival Asia and while they were OK, they could have used a live band to spice things up.
